So, there was a tile bead pattern in the most current issue of Beadwork magazine that I liked... so I changed it up a little bit and made it more my own!

This was the original pattern:

When I realized I didn't buy enough of the tile beads... and I couldn't chose just one color crystal, I changed it up a bit and added 2 crystals instead of 1 to each column and made a different type of cord for the back and enclosed all the tile beads with the seed beads... I liked the original pattern, but I think I like my improvements a little more!

This is what it looks like on...

Let me know what you think.... did you like the original more? I am confident in what I made but would love your insight!

I like yours a lot better! I think the amount of tile beads around the neck part on the original are wasted because you can't see them as well as the ones on the front. I like your color choices as well! Great job Smiley

Gorgeous! And when I see the picture of it being worn, I can't help but think how beautiful it would look if it (or something similar) were stitched to a shirt as a collar and trim. Sooo pretty, and great colours!

I like the original well enough, but I love your version too.  Wonderful colour choices.

Thanks everyone! I liked the original of course because I wanted to make it, but when I didn't want to run to the bead store again I realized I just needed to tweak it a little! I have thought about adding a beaded flower to it in the corner or only tiling the main section and beading the rest.... hmmm too many ideas!

Thanks for all the love! I already got an order from a friend to make one for her! (My version of course Wink)
