Just updated Anana's blog with pics from our anniversary weekend away in Georgia. Here's a few pics!

Welcome to Georgia! Just across the state line at the official welcome center.

Pine Mountain, Georgia. Peak elevation 1,395 feet. Coming from my apartment at literally 9ft above sea level, this was amazingly high and beautiful!

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's "Little White House" in Warm Springs, Ga.

Anana tries his hand at farming!

Over 1,000 miles driven (444 miles one way or 7 hour drive) and much fun had!

On a recent trip to Buffalo, New York, I found this: Yes, I did have some wings... for breakfast. They were gooood!

My last trip took me through Downieville, California. I found this. It's a model of an Arrastra, which was a device used to crush and grind gold ore-bearing rocks.

Clyde made it home safely Saturday from his stay with Alexampersandra!! I was going to post yesterday pics but got waylaid by a migraine and then today was a migraine hangover (from the meds) so here they finally are!

Everything together:

Stuff from Virginia Beach. (Tee shirt, salt water taffy, peanuts, post cards):

Wool magnet of a sheep from Iceland:

Metal tin box with the map of Paris metro and coins from Iceland:

The scrapbook was colored, decorated and had lots of extras like maps and brochures and such all throughout. Definitely felt like a little travel journal. Cheesy

Clyde got to visit both Paris and Iceland!

And since I still have Anana, I have a rare shot of the two LV's actually together:

Anana was supposed to go out today but, ugh, migraine. So tomorrow for sure. He's been in the box and taped up for two days now so I'm sure he's eager to get home to Alexampersandra!

I had such a fun time and I greatly enjoyed seeing Clyde's adventures in Virginia Beach AND his international journeys as well! Grin

(ETA: Anana has one final blog post with a few pics here: http://anana-visits-florida.blogspot.com/2013/10/good-bye-anana.html )

Yay! Last round, I got Anana back before I sent out my LV, so I took a photo of the two of them together. Clearly Anana likes to cross paths with his partners!

I'm glad Clyde made it home safely. (I was slightly concerned because as soon as I dropped the box in the mail slot, I realized I hadn't taken photos of anything inside!)

Fretty is home from his extensive travels. As indicated on the half covered map in the photo, he traveled with HalogenSpock to all 4 corners of the country! Apparently he's a Texas Ranger now with a badge and everything. He brought a pinecone from a Redwood tree, a smooshed penny for my collection, some novel cactus candy, and an ocarina. That dinosaur is a planter for a succulent, which I can't wait to fill, and the box the dino is on is a lamp that HalogenSpock made.  The white part is where it illuminates from and makes the quote easy to see; unfortunately just not easier to see in a photo, so I had to keep the light off. He also sent a ton more quotes so they can be switched out.  How cool is that!  Thanks pardner.

I know AD isn't even home yet (the post office originally said today, but it wasn't out for delivery this morning, so probably tomorrow...) but I'm wondering if there is any plan for the next round?

I'm going to skate with Roller Derby girls tonight, and the Zombie Walk is this weekend, and all I can think is "ooooh, that'll be a great photo op for... oh, wait..."  Cheesy

Wait wait wait! Just got an email (as I was typing!) that I have a package!!  ...

Oh. My. Goodness.

This is amazing!  Seriously amazing!  Really, it's too much!

Here's a quick all-together shot, I'll post more pics when I get home...

Violet Anne made it home safely with a box full of goodies! She had quite the trip. I also want to know about another round, I find myself reaching for AD to take his photo.

A photo album turned scrapbook, brochures and playbills from the various places they went, a new bellydancing skirt, my favorite a purple tiara, a blue drop to squeeze, a few ducks, and some odds n ends.

What a great swap!

Guess who's home!!! Anana must have paid off a mail carrier or something because tracking number didn't expect him to get here until Tuesday!

He brought back SO MANY GOODIES from phoenixfiredesigns!!! From all their different adventures! Postcards, magnets, a mug, a pineapple glass, a pin and bag from Busch Gardens, seashells, prehistoric shark teeth from the Aquarium... and my very own tree pendant!!! And of course an awesome photo album documenting the trip! Anana clearly had an awesome time! Thank you PFD!!!
