Just wanted to check in, since I had a quick minute, and Internet! After a crazy few weeks with my dad in the hospital, and moving, things are almost settling down for us. My dad is out of the hospital, and has completed 1 of 4 scheduled surgeries. While not totally out of the woods, he is doing much better.  Anuenue has been very busy helping us move! We have to be fully moved by Sunday, so this will be a crazy week, but then we can start having some fun adventures again. I have a few pics from the past few weeks, and I will post those once I have a computer handy( and not just my phone) I also have to catch up on photo challenges!

I saw a few pics of the LVs, and it looks like everyone is having fun! Can't wait to have a few minutes to see what I've missed the past few weeks!

Also- those Hollywood trail/sign pics are very cool, beautiful doggies too!

That is an interesting perspective of Hollywood.  What it represents is larger than life, and there you are, looking down on it all like it's an ant farm.  I'd like to take that hike if I get the chance to go there.

Be sure to PM me if you do!

Thank you both!  There is such diversity here, where a trip to the mountains or the ocean, big city or rural farm -- and pretty much everything in between -- is less than an hour's drive away, and quite a lot is within 20-30 minutes.

Waterbaby - HOLLYWOOD!!!!  Cheesy

Anofeles - it must be the time for plays. Hubby bought tickets for an Australian play called The Club - about the internal politics and machinations of a football team and committee. Set in the 1970's and some very funny scenes about the culture at the time re drug use and perceptions of women   Roll Eyes It was written by a popular Australian playwright - David Williamson. I have some pictures I will post after this weekend when I am back from Brisbane.

Hey-o! Just checking in with you lovely folks. we're at the new house now but we still don't have internet (despite waiting around for three days for the guy to hook it up Angry ). Alby's been exploring the new house and we'll have photos whenever the comcast man decides to grace us with his presence.

I love the photos of the hike!  And, KFC!  Awesome!

Not sure how "local" this is, but Monroe got to join us for dinner at our favorite carousel sushi place this week!

I wish we had a carousel sushi place! We do have a GREAT sushi place, and a great sushi buffet, but no sushi that moves around the restaurant unattended.  Undecided

Last Friday we went to the pre-opening party for Real Pirates, an exhibit of artifacts from the Whydah.  No pictures allowed inside the exhibit, but some at the pre-party!
