Next up, Busch Gardens! On Monday, May 6th the weather was unseasonably beautiful with a high of around only 72F with low humidity. It's normally well into the mid/upper 80's this time of year so that one day was just perfect. Far too perfect to spend indoors!

So I grabbed Anana and we made a solo trip over to Busch Gardens for a few hours. Love of course was at work, but one of the many perks of working for yourself is you can decide to take the afternoon off if you want! Grin

Cute bronze statue of a baby elephant

And a real one which is pretty darn cool too.

They have this walk-through of King Tut's tomb in the Egypt area of the park.

Complete with sarcophagus and, unfortunately, crazy lighting which threw off my shot! Wink

The park was practically empty on a Monday afternoon...

But we saw lion statues....

And real ones.

And even a dolphin topiary!

It was a really fun day and I really felt recharged after my outing. It was just the break I needed.

Ack!! I was just looking back through the gallery here and I realized when I saw my Heritage Village Post, I never posted the other half which is the Botanical Gardens next door to the Heritage Village! D'oh! Shocked See, we REALLY do a lot of things...I'm just bad about having time to edit all my pics! Wink

This was the same day as Heritage Village. The Village closes early so after we had to leave, we reparked over at the Gardens and took a stroll.

You enter across a wooden boardwalk over water to head to into the gardens.

We spotted some pineapples! Grin

Saw a little pond.

And stopped to smell the roses too.

Oh thanks! Busch Gardens Tampa is very African themed so its very much geared towards the animals of Africa. Grin

Wow, another week has gone by already!  So many fantastic pictures (for the challenges and otherwise)!

This week's theme will be "numbers."
And I'll leave it at that.

P.S. everyone, please remember to post in the threads at least once a week.  Flakers in this swap make all of us very sad, and we just want to make sure you're all okay!  I know you're probably just busy, but take a moment or two to come by and say hi!

Oh man, where does the time go?  It seems like I'm always a week behind on the challenges.  I won't be able to get my high places pic until Monday.

I'm so sorry I haven't updated lately; I haven't had much time to relax and edit pictures.

Let's see. . . we've been up to a LOT lately! Here are some pics of the Lite Bright 5K and the Scamper Run I did. The Scamper one was a puppy run. Bee rode in the arm band that my phone goes in Smiley

We got pizza afterward at Pizza Ranch, the BEST PIZZA PLACE EVER. Thin crust alfredo with mushrooms, tomatoes, and chicken. YUM.

The I took the ACTs. I also did the SATs, but I have no pictures from that.

We got ice cream after the SATs. This is butter cream with gummy bears Wink

Bee helped me make a necklace for my aunt's trip to Germany. She's giving it to her hostess as a gift. I'm sure you've seen the design on Pinterest.

We saw the blow up monsters at Pat Clemmons Auto's annual "monster sale".

We also visited the Almost Home animal shelter to visit the kitties. It's a no-kill shelter, so we get a lot of animals from there.

I'll leave you with this somewhat distrubing image. Our school principal found this in the front seat of his car with no identification other than the name "Mary Greene" on a tag on its wrist. He gave it to my art teacher thinking we might be able to do something with it. So, naturally, we put a face and hat on it and gave it a sign to scare little kids Tongue

Thanks! I have a Canon T4i and used my 55-250mm telephoto lens for the lion. The T4i has technically been discontinued so if you can't find it at a good price, the T5i is basically the exact same specs. The telephoto lens runs for about $250 on Amazon but I'm a fan of it because it has a great range and image stabilization to help with preventing blur.

Here's another from the same day of the same lion:
