Finally got a "work" picture.
My job doesn't exactly a money maker.  I homeschool my little Goose.   Full time job, love my coworkers, and I get to set the hours.  Dream job, right?

Coccinelle was having fun with the Math book.  Who knew multiplication and order of operation could be taught comic style.

HalogenSpock and I are going to be jaunting down for some hopeful adventures with Fretty & Coccinelle this weekend.

I was able to get some pictures of Anuenue at work- and since I didn't post for weather,Im counting these for that too!

Anuenue hanging out at my desk, making friends with my Alligator from our Florida trip, my AFLAC duck, and the honey badger! ( He talks, but I didn't let him say mean things to Anuenue!) Had to cover some of the stuff on my screen- just in case dont want to get yelled at at work!

Anuenue was chilling on top of my paperwork. She was learning a little about the company and some geography too!  My desk was an absolute disaster zone this week. So so messy. But, I was super busy so I cant blame me!

And, the best part- the giant windows right behind my desk. Yep, I get an awesome view. And, for my weather entry- it has been beyond beautiful here the past few days. Cool and crisp in the morning, and warm in the afternoon. Perfect weather!

Me and Aussie are studying all the time for my exams. Today it's French. So no photos, no adventures, but at least we get to gossip the topography of Paris (there are just two little hills worth mentioning!) in French Cheesy Tomorrow biology. And then French again. I think I will soon go insane. Yesterday I tried to search in a dictionary what's the French name for "La Manche".

Well it only took me all week to get up the first half of LAST Sunday's outing! Grin We went to a place called Heritage Village which is a "living history museum." They've brought in all these old houses and buildings from all around the county and put them in a park setting for you to tour. They're all full of period-correct antiques and people dressed in period clothing inside to answer questions and tell you about the place. It's really fantastic.

There were so many awesome photo opportunities and we got there an hour before closing (whoops! we thought we had two hours) so we didn't even get to see everything but I'm sure we can head back again. Meanwhile, here's a few pics!

cinnamon teal, those mittens are beautiful -- another craft at which you excel!

Like phoenixfiredesigns, e have a Heritage Square here in Los Angeles, with Victorian homes that have been brought from around the city.  Haven't been there in quite a while, so thanks for the reminder, phoenix, I'll add that to my list!

Like phoenixfiredesigns, we have a Heritage Square here in Los Angeles, with Victorian homes that have been brought from around the city.  Haven't been there in quite a while, so thanks for the reminder, I'm adding it to my list!

Here are some pictures from the impromptu trip Franklin and I took to the fabric "district" last week.  First stop was a store called Island Fabrics, which does, indeed, specialize in Polynesian/Hawaiian/Pacific Islander prints, and where bolts of fabric are hung ceiling to floor the whole length of the store:

Franklin is standing on one of the tables that proceed down the center of the store, some with bolts, and some with good sized remnants -- we picked up a couple of the latter.

Probably the biggest store in this area is Michael Levine, which also has a place across the street where they have tables and large cardboard boxes overflowing with leftovers that go for $2 a pound, which was our next stop.  Then, about six-and-a-half pounds heavier, we went over to the main store just to gaze at the rows upon rows upon rows...until I discovered among all that wonderful, no-JoAnn-style-sale-prices fabric...a single table where everything is $6 a yard, 40% or more off the regular prices.  Fortunately it was near closing time and I couldn't do too much damage; here's Franklin atop our purchases while I was waiting in line:

And here's the entire haul; the two blue florals at the left and right are from Island Fabrics, the two florals and two stripes at the top are from the $2 bins, and the fabulous space guns, rocking horse/cowboy, and white-on-white animal prints plus the green stripe are from the main Michael Levine store:

Hello, my name is waterbaby, and I am addicted to craft supplies.
