Traditionally here you tap the trunks of trees to see if an appropriate size branch has been hollowed out by termites. These are the ones that are best to make didgeridoos.

This is cool, I'm adding this to my imaginary "interesting facts" list to dazzle my friends with Grin
We are sueractive with GC here in the Czech republic, so there are tons of caches- only here in st nad Labem, an unimportant city, we have more caches than many foreign capitals. That's bad because everyone here knows GC and everyone wants his own cache and people technically "spam" this country with stupid caches Sad The original idea of this game is to lead people to interesting and beautiful places, sometimes to make them enjoy a good adventure, but nowadays it is very hard to find such a cache in this country. Just one of many is really good.

hey everyone! So many great pictures!

Here's just a reminder that it's August, and if you haven't started printing pictures, etc., maybe start thinking about it now. ;-)

Also, let's maybe throw in one more challenge....

Anuenue, the fiance and I took our chihuahua to a Humane Society fundraiser, Dog Days at PK Park, this last week. It was a baseball game for our minor league team, where they let you bring your dogs! We had a great time, and had an unusually cool evening.

I have started the scrapbook, but want to have a few more adventures with Anuenue before she leaves!

Here we are preparing for the summercamp I'm going to. And D'ood helped me make a gift for an exchange with a friend and he really liked (and was in awe of) what we received back:

Saturday, we drove all the way out to Orlando to hit Disney for a few hours...and ran smack dab into rain. So I didn't get any photos because I didn't want to get Anana or my DSLR wet.

But, after a rough couple of weeks there (sadly including a few deaths in both our families), we finally did something fun on Sunday! And got pics to prove it! We went out to the Museum of Fine Art in Downtown St. Pete. Smiley Of course, we didn't realize they were renovating and so most of the galleries were closed.  Undecided But we still got to see some art, darn it, and had a nice time anyway. (And yes, I asked! You were allowed to take pics, no flash and no tripod.)

Front of the building.

This was one of my favorite pieces. Julie as Flora, Roman Goddess of Flowers.

Exhibit on color.

After that, we hit the park next door and got some pics of the banyan trees!

They're huge!

They grow "down" from the branches and form new roots which turn into new trunks. They look like a colony of trees.

Anana found a perfect sized nook to chill out in.

Also on the other side of the museum, there's a very large Kapok tree so we stopped to get a shot of that too.

Anana IS in this shot though it may be too little here to see him.

Here's the two of us for scale.

So yay for getting out of the house a bit! Of course, now Love's car is on the fritz so we're down a vehicle which means he's taking mine to work and I have no means of leaving the apartment during the day. *sighs* No weekday outings for me until we get it fixed. (And with a $500 estimate, it might be awhile.)

Those are such neat trees, phoenixfiredesigns!

Clyde and I are working hard to help get the library ready to open next weekend, but this weekend we'll be having fun with another friend (and meeting the wedding photographer) so hopefully we'll have something interesting to post soon!
