Paramount looks so cool, waterbaby!!! I know the idea of "look like you belong and people will believe it" works at the library... I caught a student on the computers during a staff training day (when we were closed) and discovered that she had just knocked on the door and was let in (because we assumed that if you're knocking when the sign says "closed," you must belong there!)

Thinking of the library, when I got to campus this morning, the city's Bookmobile was parked outside the new library! Not sure why, and it wasn't open, but I've never seen it in person before so I snapped a photo of Clyde with it:

wow so many historical/architectural  photos going on - I especially love Neptune, great angle on that photo!

It's been so hot here - I think the end of May and start of June weather is making up for the first 4 months of this year! I've been keeping track of the weather by knitting a blanket as part of this craftalong http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=417653.0#axzz2Vj6FInnc

Scarlett has helped me start to blanket stitch my 'month scarves' together -

Then she bundled it up and made herself a lovely nest

Which she seemed very happy to share with Whisky for an afternoon nap

Ah! That last picture is adorable, PaperBeau!

Those are some awesome shots of Paramount studios,  and there are so many great photographers here, with so many cool things! (Bookmobile---squee!)

Things here are same same... After a while all the pictures start to look the same... Ocean, mountains, ocean, mountains, sunburned tourist, ocean, etc..... I'm working on finding something unique!

Coccinelle hung around with Goose in a temporary Dinosaur Exhibit.

With a Triceratops

And here is a Pachycephalosaurus whose skull has alway reminded me a bit of the dragons in Fairy Tales.

Coccinelle also helped me get brave enough to dye my hair like I've wanted to for a while.

Haha!  Well I think some get sunburned sometimes (me included), but I think the biggest difference is that the locals look for shade!  It's true, and I totally understand that if you're only here for a week, you'd wanna get all the sunshine you can!

Jay got the VIP treatment at the Chicago House of Blues.  My boyfriend is friends with Tyler Duncan who is on tour with Darren Criss (from the tv show Glee).  So Jay got an all access past, to watch the show from backstage, hang out in the dressing room and then chill on the tour bus.

On the tour bus, Darren thought he might out run the flash.
