Lovely things, Rae!  My package is coming in two parts.  I have the first and have decided to wait until the second arrives to open it.  Package 2 arrived in the U.S. 3 days ago so fingers crossed I have it momentarily cuz I'm torturing myself.   Cheesy

Three days ago? I thought it must've been held up at the border or something! I wonder what's taking it so long for the last leg of the trip.

It's great that there's so much embroidery in this swap. I guess great minds think alike, but Gorey's style does seem particularly well suited to it.

The post has been very strange lately. I've had packages held at customs for a week+ recently.

My package was travelling from Canada to the United States and it got there super quick. Sent it Thursday and it arrived on Monday. Finally, one point for Canada Post.

Speaking of receiving, I got my package from Spazgirl1981.

!!!WARNING!!! Please be sitting down before looking at photographs. You may be swept away by Spazgirl talent.

First, I got this lovely tea cup set

There is even a bat inside the cup!!

Then this Gashlycrumb necklace

A close up of the pendant

And then just a nesting doll full of Gorey characters

What the what!?! How awesome are the dolls! I'm going to do a second post with close up of the dolls

OK, so here are the dolls up close and personal. Thanks to Spazgirl I am now very adapt at using the macro function of my camera Wink

Biggest doll front

and back

Second biggest doll (my cat jumped up on the couch just as I was taking a photo)

and back

Middle doll

and back

First small doll

and back

second small doll

no back image for this guy. He fit all in one photo

And the baby, he may be my favourite because he's so small. Not even an inch tall!

What else can I say? I warned you of the awesomeness.

Thank you again Spazgirl1981. I have a big thing for nesting dolls and this is by far my favourite in my collection. xoxo
