Thanks for all the love, everyone! The bird is called "The Yellow Bird," and according to the site where I found him, he's from Edward Gorey's personal tarot deck, The Fantod Pack. I just thought he was so sweet and needed to be stitched!

WOW! You guys did an amazing job and everything here is a show stopper.  I sure wish I had been checking in here more often and caught this one.  Well, when you snooze you loose and I really lost out on this one.  Great work everyone!

I received my package from RamonaQ today and it is fabulous!! She sent me two beautiful hoops of the Doubtful Guest.

The back reads "It wrenched off the horn from the new gramaphone"

And the fabulous card...

Thank you so much RamonaQ!!

So I got permission to post what I sent to my partner, as I haven't heard from her in a while. I hope shes okay but I really wanted to post what I made just in case.

I made a hoopla with the cover of "the curious sofa" embroidered in felt. I also painted a poor boy who is about to be blown to bits. I didn't get a picture of the lining but it looked very "goreyesque"  I also made a velvet hairbow as well.

I'm loving that poor boy who's about to be blown to bits (so tragic!) How did you get that image on the fabric? It looks awesome.

Loving all the hoops!  The Doubtful Guest cracks me up - and now I'm curious about "The Curious Sofa" - I haven't read that one yet!
I want to hear the story of the pouch too!  Is it hand painted?  Well done!
