i hate it when i make mistakes repeatedly... or worse, when you can't fix a mistake... oh, and when i waste or lose materials- especially the expensive stuff. that being said, it pays to have a look under the sofa cushions every so often. last time i did i found a ton of beads down there.

I hate ripping out seams! Expecially on thin fabric that frays easily (like silk) where I have to be extra gentle. Somehow I always fail to match a point on a quilt block, or I sew sew sew and then realize I didn't put my pieces right sides together and my stitch length is SO short, so I have to rip out a zillion tiny stitches..
I hate projects that look wonderful "on paper", but when I'm half way done they don't look that nice at all, so I end up hating them and never finish them, and pile them up with my other UFO's  Tongue

Call me crazy, I don't mind hemming - it's the one thing that I can get right the first time!LOL

That said, I hate ModPodge.  I feel so stupid because I just can't get my stuff to come out right.  One of my coworkers said her mom volunteered to teach me how to do it, but I'm just so set against it now......

I hate lining bags. I can't remember how many times I've accidentally put them in inside out. That, and installing zippers into small things.

--double hems. ugh feels like it takes 4 hours. and soon you're squishing 10 layers of fabric under the presser foot.
--basting stuff. i know i shouldn't skip it but it's just bleah and going to be ripped out 4 seconds later anyway. but when i tried to get away without it i just melted my pins  Sad

I hate making beads. What a pain! I don't know why I hate them so much, but any of you guys who get beads from me, feel lucky!  Wink

I hate, hate, hate gathering fabric on adult-sized clothes!  Won't be making one of those tiered skirts any day soon.  It takes too long, I always mess up the gathers and/or break threads, and the fabric never lays right for me anyway.  It always makes me look poofy.  I've tried every method from zigzagging over thread to using clear elastic and nope -- gathers and I just don't get along.

I can handle them for doll and little (and I do mean LITTLE) girls dresses.  But that's it!
