Mine is in the mail.  Should get there Friday.  I'll send the official notice in a bit once I have the DC# in hand.  Can't wait to see if Annigirl likes it.

I've changed directions from my initial idea. Same techniques though. I also wound up not having the materials I thought I had, so I didn't get to work on it at my craft meetup this weekend. On top of that, work has been crazy and I have been working late this week, so I am guessing I will get a chance to do a little more tomorrow or Friday.

So I was thinking about using some felted sweater scraps for the inside of my mug rug, but then I turned my brain on.... I'm guessing even though the sweater was already shrunk that it might continue to shrink if the mug rug needs to be washed. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Should I just go buy something different to put on the inside? Or will the pre-shrunk sweater (100% wool) be safe?

They use wool to make baby diaper covers...I have washed felted wool cup cozies and they did not seem to shrink...and, I have yet to wash a mug rug that I have made or received...I would think that the wool would be nice and sturdy and also, absorbent!

In my experience wool can only shrink so much and then it's done.  Just felt it aggressively and you should be ok  Grin  I think wool is a great idea! I might have to use it! thanks for the idea

I've made some big headway on my rug in the past few days.
I need to run out and see if I can't find the perfect ______!

There are 1 or 2 elements that, if they work out the way I have it in my head, are gonna be pretty neat!
