My son wanted to go to Oz Comic Con in Adelaide as Nes from the game Earth Bound. It was never released in Australia but he has played it using an emulator. Nes also appears in the Super Smash Bros games. The outfit seemed simple - t-shirt, shorts, baseball cap, tennis shoes, backpack and baseball bat. I bought the bat, shoes, backpack and cap - it just needed purple on the peak. I made the shorts easily enough. The t-shirt was another matter, it had to be purple and yellow stripes and I could not find the material anywhere. What I ended-up doing was buying the yellow and the purple material, making a template and cutting out the material, pinning it, sewing it and then cutting out and making the t-shirt. I was happy with the results, so was he, and people at the con recognised him. Here is the finished product.

I've never played Earthbound but I've seen Nes. Your son's costume is awesome!

Turned out great and I admire your creative way of making the t shirt fabric. Pretty smart! Smiley
