I make ami's , however if need I could try and do a poppet.  I sew a lot and they look interesting, but are there free patterns out there or would I need to buy one?

Here is a link to the poppet-along: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205341.0#axzz2RD7O7D8i

This is where you will find the pattern, along with other tutorials and tips.

I can sew a poppet.. I'm in the mini poppet swap and it's almost done in less than 2 weeks. It's challenging but I'm enjoying myself.  I would love an ami. I've only tried it once and I made a GIR for one of my boys. He came out pretty good. I'd like to continue working on my skills , so yeah I'd like to participate.
One question
Would this be a challenge to either try to sew or crochet a poppet with the patterns/tutorials on craftsters or a one of a kind item?

Nope, you make what is easiest for you.  You don't need to use tutorials on craftster for the ami, it can be anything, but the poppet should be a poppet.  I don't know if there are other tutorials for poppets out there, but if there are, I guess you could use those instead.

I will be opening signups for this one in about 2 weeks!!! YAY!!!

I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

I would join a sewn stuffed animal for an amigurumi swap.  I make stuffed animals, not poppets.  I do not knit or crochet.  But, I would love to receive me some amigurumi!
