I made this quilt using the Sleepy Jean Crib Quilt tutorial from the Moda Bake Shop.  It is for my little sister who is having a girl in April. I wanted it to be feminine without being too pink and happened to have some charm squares that I had bought back in 2009 that I thought would be perfect. Luckily, I was able to find some matching fabric from the same line on etsy.

To quilt it I tried free motion flowers. They are far from perfect (I still haven't figured out the perfect speed yet) but I think they still look cute.

That looks great!  Definitely feminine without too much pink.  Great job! And I like the flowers, too - I have yet to try free motion quilting . . .

Love the quilt!  Free motion is fun, but Ya do have to learn what your personal speed is to get it to come out like you want.

I have only tried it a few times, but I enjoy it. Am looking forward to trying more

well and wonderment

Very sweet looking, and the flower quilting -can't even tell they are not perfect; in fact they look like they are meant to be that way. Great job!

I really like it Melly.  You did a great job with the FMQ.
