I used a pattern found here: http://fixergirl.blogspot.com/2010/01/pattern-kaleidoscope-beret.html and altered the pattern in a few ways. First, I added a round of dc to make it slouchier. Because I was making it for a child and needed a tighter fit, I added another round of decrease. Finally, I altered the band to eliminate the ribbing, using only sc. This one was a lot of fun to make!

I really love the star design in the middle....makes me want to make a big doily...or even better, afghan with this pattern. Very prety.

I agree. That is a really pretty centre. It makes a lovely beret.

Aww, it looks like she's wearing a pretty spring flower. Smiley Love the work, never been much good with doilies myself.
