I made this necklace about two months ago, and never got around to posting it (along with a lot of other projects I've made and will be uploading in the next couple of days). It took me around 11 hours - first I made a peyote necklace and than I added the coral-like strings through it.

And a shot of the work in progress:

What do you guys think?

Thank you! My fingers were pretty cramped and pricked by the end of it.

So fancy!  I love the coral effect, particularly the way you created the focal point with multiple color layers, then fading up to shorter strings.  Great work!

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

This is absolutely GORGEOUS. I love beading, but I was never able to find a pattern like that. did you get it from a book?

Thank you!

kreativekris - I didn't make it according to any pattern. When I just started doing bead embroidery I read this free e-book about it, and it covered many types of fringe - including this branchy coral-like thing. I thought it would look nice as a necklace but forgot about it. Than I started beading. So I made a peyote necklace to string it from and chose the colours based on what beads I had most. If you're interested I can try and make a tute.
