I'd toyed with the idea of painting/decorating an old purse for a while when I found this simple black vinyl bag from Savers for $1.99. Based on the shape, I knew that I wanted to create a V-shaped stripe situation with a pop of color on the purse's peek-a-boo lip (or whatever you might call that little section). Experimenting ensued and positive results were had! The hardest part was making sure the stripes were even and straight, but this project was basically a snap to create.
