dear beautiful people.
i don't see new zealand written anywhere. so i'm going to post here instead. okay?

um i'd like to think i was pretty DIY. i make my own menstrual pads, sprouts, patchwork quilts.. some of my own clothes.
i recycle our paper waste and our neighbours and make photo albums out of it to sell at the markets.
i make applique patches.
i'm teaching myself how to embroider.and sew.

anyway.. my point is... places to check out when/ if you come to new zealand:

*small town thrift stores. specially up the top of the north island. i was born up there and there are huge amounts of amazing things to be found for very very little money.

*vincents. in wellington. a free art space. its funded by the government, and you can go there and use all the materials they have to make and create at your leisure. they have sewing machines, woodturning things, a darkroom, a metal work room, clay things... pretty much everything you can think of. and you can use their paints, their scraps of material, their paper, their.. well everything. its my favourite place in wellington.

*me! at the markets in the weekends in Nelson. nelson is beautiful, the sunniest place in new zealand apprently.its in the south island. anywho. it's very arty and theres tonnes of nice things and people to see in nelson. you'll love it.

i'm sure theres more. but that'll do for now.
