For my second post of the day, let me present my most FUN hat yet!

For St. Patrick's day, I've crocheted a top hat using this baby photo shoot prop. I knew from the start I wanted to give the impression that pompoms were "popping" out/off of the hat. I used plastic cement to attach craft pompoms to the hat and to short lengths of floral wire. The bow of the ribbon hatband sports a clear green button from my extensive button collection.

My boyfriend, who is rarely impressed by my crafty things as they are soooo commonplace in his life (his mother is crafty, too), actually said to me "WOW. You could SELL that!" Eye-roll worthy, yes, but considering he is no longer impressed by handknit socks, that is quite the exclamation Tongue

I absolutely LOVE this little hat!! And the fly-a-way pompoms really add so much to it!  Grin

Adorable! Inspiring! Whimsical! Festive!
You've inspired me to blow the dust off my craft cart and few craft totes to create my own festive head wear! It want be as festive and whimsical as yours, but thanks to you for the inspiration and reminding me to be unique!
Awesome job, and maybe you should sell those!!
Eagerly awaiting to see hat# 4,

Thanks guys! I really love this hat, too! I wear a uniform, so wacky accessories are about as fashionable as I am allowed to get Tongue

So glad to have inspired you, KraftyCosmo Cheesy I can't wait to see what "whimsicle-f***ery" you will come up with!

For my next trick, I'll be creating an Easter hat. I have butterflies and tiny paper flowers lined up for that one.

Super cute! I should make an Easter one to wear to daycare, the kids would love it!
