Thanks everyone for your help. I ended up nixing the whole idea because I found a gift I knew she wanted. She told me she wanted a gift cirtificate to a store that takes pictures of your aura. So I went and got it for her.

I can't help it that I am a boy. I just was born that way.

What problems are you having with the roses? When you've finished you have to bend the outer layers othherwise it just looks like a weird cone.

You could make a photo birthday book, either take photos of strangers/friends holding a sheet of paper with one letter on it, so it would spell HAPPY BIRTHDAY  (you'd need at least 13 people)  or take really nice pictures of subjects starting with those letters.  Don't forget to put them in the correct order, though  Smiley

that is such a cute idea.
you could have random people make their own sign saying 'happy birthday ____" and take pictures of them in their element. like, a deli worker behind the counter, wearing the work clothes and everything.
or on the streets. or whatever.
that might be a little too much if you don't really know her. you could use people that the both of you know, like in your workplace.

-mayor west?
-how do you know my language?

i made an info blog for my swap partners.

i now have a wist list!
