So my husband and I recently bought a new table from an actual furniture store and decided to celebrate by inviting all of our friends over for a table warming party.
 
I decided that we needed some sort of something to protect our new table so came up with the idea of quilted scrappy placemats to use up my huge pile of scrap fabric.



The best part is that I didn't have to buy a single thing for these, I had all the fabric and batting in my stash.

Some of them are a little sloppy and I probably should have made a more simple pattern given that I only had a week but overall I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out and the do the job of protecting the table.

Here is a picture of each of the 8 placemats
