I made this using your tutorial!  You did a great job.  I kept stumping myself, and making mistakes, but  I kept rereading it and I finally figured it out!  I will post picture elsewhere so I don't make a runaway thread.

OH! I'm gonna save all the scraps from the clothing me and my mom make for myself and make a bag! Then my bag will ALWAYS match what I'm wearing! Smiley

Any ideas on making stretch fabric no longer stretchy so it can be used to make a bag?

super stiff interfacing might help.  I try to stick with cotton quilting fabric.  It is really easy to work with.

Wow you put a lot of work into that and it shows! It's adorable. And you took the time to write up a tutorial. Great job! (Your cat is cute too.)

All it took was a unique kid to make me follow mom's sewing machine.

OMgosh - I love this bag. I have over 10,000 five inch squares of fabric from participating in many, many swaps and I now have a new idea of how to use some of them other than in quilts. Thank you so much for the tute - all of your efforts are greatly appreciated.

I love your bag.  Great work!  I know part of the reason it came out so beautifully is because you had a little help from your kitty.  My kitties help me out a lot, too.

I totally agree with Pharmgirl.  I think the kitty was exactly what made this so cool!  One of mine helps as yours does, the other stands off to the side and gives comments (he's blind), but they both help.  Great tutorial and I bet I make mine like this!
