Usually I post Blythe-related things on the Toys board, but this one is all about knitting, so I'm happily sharing this as my very first knitting post!  I am a novice knitter, but I've found some easy patterns for Blythe dolls on Ravelry, and I am enjoying knitting them for my dolls and for swap partners.

Both of these pictures show dolls wearing the same items in different colors:  the "Flirty Dress for Blythe" by Jane Pierrepont, and
"Shrugs and Kisses" by Maggie Baird. I like the simple sophistication of this look on Blythe!

Tiny knitting needles don't scare me now, and I love how quickly I can knit these patterns. I'm developing an obsession with sock-weight yarn!

I love tiny knitting, too!  Great job, Leslie!

Since I knit socks, I always have small balls of yarn left over...making Blythe or Barbie clothes is a great way to use up these tiny bits!

I love the sparkly shrug...and your embellishments really are so cute!

wow, leslie! these are gorgeous! just totally sweet and the details are terrific. beautifully done. i didnt realize at all that these would have been crafted with small knitting needles. like, how small??

i also like how the pinkish haired blythe is wearing the dark dress and dark haired blythe went for the pink-and cute backgrounds, too. always the total package!!

Thanks everyone!

Susan, the dresses are made with 2.75 mm double pointed needles, and the shrug with even smaller 2.25 mm dp needles! I bought a nice set that has all the small sizes so I always have the right size available.

Blythecon 2013 in NYC in October...I'm hoping, but doubting I will actually manage to get there!

Having one of these dresses of Leslie's myself, I can say they are *beautiful* and fit so well. Even my Pullip loves wearing her dress and shrug. They're adorable! I'd love one in every color!
