I couldn't decide on just one alliteration for the title...

I didn't use a pattern for this dress, just saw the material in the thrift store and knew I wanted to make a maxi dress that I could wear for the last month of my pregnancy and continue wearing all summer. I wish it were about an inch longer, but once the basketball underneath is gone I think it'll be toe-length :-) I hesitated to give it such thin straps cause I can't wear a bra with it, but thick straps would have ruined the summery look of it, plus I wanted tie straps so that as I change bra sizes I can adjust as needed without alterations. So ultimately I ended up sewing in a shelf bra. This will be an added bonus when I'm nursing cause it'll be easy to just pop one out the top ;-) Now I just hope we have some nice days in April!

Adorable!  You, your 'basketball' and your dress - it's very springy! I'm sure it will serve you well! Good luck with your new little one Smiley
