I still have a flag coming in from PerfBoho.  The Hub checked the mail today, but no luck yet.

Thanks for all the kind words about my believe impossible things flag.  And to answer some questions, I use Steam a Seam Lite iron on glue to keep things from fraying.  I make little squares in the sizes I need and iron them to the back of the fabric.  Then I just cut the letters out and iron them down.  The stitching is all machine.  I call it scribble stitching, as I just sort of scribble around.  I haven't decided if scribble stitching is quilting or embroidery though Grin

I'm starting to worry about the two packages I mailed to Canada recently. I hope yours gets in very soon! My luck with the mail system seems to be failing lately, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

The scribble stitching is wonderful! I think I would call it quilting if it where on a fluffier base... but I wouldn't really call it embroidery.... Whatever it is, it is so much fun!

We moved out to the country last year, and I am rather sure our mail takes about 3 to 5 days longer to get to me then it used to.  Someone said it's because it's a rural rout now.  So I'm not worried yet Grin  But I do want to mention the next time my Hub will be able to check the mail is next Tuesday.  But I promise to post as soon as it gets here Grin

Just adding a pic of the flag that I sent to annigirl22 -- I went with her peace theme. I work in Boston, so this theme feels extra special this week.

The main background fabric (that you can see around the edge) is a batik, but the other fabrics are the results of playing with fabric paint and bubble wrap. Super fun, btw! I stamped the word peace with fabric paint as well, and added some fun trim. The peace sign was also painted.

Thank you again everyone for a great swap! These flags are some of my first forays into sewing and fabric art, and I think I'm hooked!  Grin

That's a wonderful "peace" flag, SonjaBoo.  The colors really are peaceful, and the lettering is really cool.  Love it!

I finally received my FABO flag from PerfBoho yesterday.  I'm sorry I didn't feel up to posting, earlier

I just love it, and it's so perfect for me too.  I'm sorry I can't fiddle with the colors in the photo and such to get it too match, but just not up for it.  Just know my picture does not do it justice.

Thanks so much for 2 great starts to my flag collection.  And thanks for another excellent swap Leslie Grin

What a very fun flag!  I love the word and the squid.  Also, the stitching all around the flag...nice job, everyone!
