My first post on this board! \o/  Heehhee, it feels like something worth celebrating. Wink

For the Walking Dead swap I participated in recently, my partner had a lot of bags, particularly Teesha Moore (?) and other patchwork bags on her pintrest so I thought I'd give it ago. It was about an hour (and three dozen needle-stabs) into my first patch, when I realized handsewing isn't really my forte. I really wanted to make a bag so I decided to focus on my strengths; one of which is photoshop. So I designed the bag, and each little patch and then printed it out on inkjet printable cotton, cut out each piece, sewed it on to different coloured felt and then zig-zag stitched everything together on the machine.

Et viola; a printed patchwork bag! Or pouch. Whichever. It's my first ever, so I'm sort of ridiculously proud of it.

Side one;

and two;

It's a mix of the show and the comics, featuring quotes and motifs and images from both.

Thanks for clicking my link and taking a look. Wink

I think I might have to find a way to snatch this from your swap partner... Cheesy

It is incredible!  I love the way you did it...using mixed images and sewing it a bit wonky...

 The bag is awesome. You did a fantiastic job with the images. I have never heard of inkjet printable cotton. I'm going to have to Google that!

To start with I wasn't going to include that Cherokee Rose patch, but I liked the contrast of that panel and the one opposite it; the zombie ears from Daryl. It's my little nod to both the hard edge and soft center of Daryl. Wink

This bag is awesome! Defiantly something I could imagine for sale at a store, and even then it wouldn't be near as cool as this (because everything is cooler handmade!)
