I want to curl a lot of yarn for a project but it's 50% Lurex with the other 50% spit between cotton and acrylic. I've seen the "wet it and bake it" method but I'm scared the heat will melt and/or dull the yarn (it's a gold metallic) is there any other options I can use? If I just wrap it and leave it for a long time will it curl. Or if I knit it and then undo my knitting???

It should curl if you knit it, wet it, and let it dry before unknitting it.
