I make custom travertine coasters and have begun selling at craft shows.  I buy 4"x4" tiles and sell in sets of 4, which are tied with ribbon or twine/jute.  I use only ivory colored tiles.

I have been using 2 six foot tables and a 4 foot table with a dark brown sheet over each table.  I display most of them laying down on the table.  I have found one wooden tray that allows me to display some sitting more upright/angled.

I also sell 8"x8" trivets that are decorated as well.  I found a plate display that holds about 6 so I use that for trivets but really only the one in the front has it's design visible.

The weight of the coasters makes them too heavy display on a wall like you would jewelry or other light weight items.  Any ideas on how else to display?

How about making a step display? Something that looks like stairs.

Make the base of each step deep enough to put a complete package of tiles with the design facing out so you're leaning the set against the back instead of laying them down. You can make it as long as you want to display as many coaster sets as you wish.

There's NOTHING at a craft show, or on Etsy, anybody NEEDS. NOTHING.

Sorry for the delay in getting back here.  Thanks for the ideas.  I like the first one, wooden tiered.  Now I am also thinking there has to be a way to make it collapsible.  LOL

I did these type of custom tile coasters for years (quit doing them about 4 years ago) and I displayed them with metal stand up pic holder things that I found at the dollar store!  Worked good for my display for years Smiley

I made a tiered display out of foam core... similar to this http://www.flickr.com/photos/lyrebirdcreate/6082188270/in/pool-715724@N24/ but I did mine like a set of stairs. Not sure if foam core would be heavy enough to hold up the tiles... though it would be collapsible. Could use wood instead.

Thanks.  I'll look into that and have dh look at it.
