I recently participated in the Anything Goes Tiny House Swap and this was what I came up with:

I used the same technique as I did for my: help I'm turning into the Madhatter hats -located here

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=417848.0#axzz2MtbNkn6D

with one exception I used an empty gift wrap roll instead of a TP roll because I wanted a larger hat

all the embellishments were made from polymer clay, beads, and ribbon

Happy Crafting!
Tesa

Simply adorable!! I love the texture you achieved on the house. Did you do that with paint?

no paper towels and glue- base coated with black paint and topped with brown paint, excess wiped immediately to let the base coat show through -the paint just the texture created by the paper towel
