Here's my list:

1. Jurassic Park
2. Star Wars
3. The Muppets movies (the originals and the new one)
4. The Princess Bride
5. Serenity

My favorites tend to be things that I can watch over and over again, so nothing too terribly interesting.

Nothing too terribly interesting? I disagree! We have similar tastes. (Although only one of those movies is on my list too.) Smiley

I majored in film for my undergrad degree and I used to work at a movie theater that showed only independent movies so I feel like my favorites should be more obsure and foreign for some reason.  Haha.

Mine tend to be obscure (in a sense), but mostly not at all high-brow or foreign or socially redeeming in any way.  I know in the past I've listed Joe's Apartment and MegaPiranha, I don't know if I did Sharktopus (I know I made a Sharktopus once, but I don't think I've listed it?).  I have a weakness for really bad sci-fi movies and weird things.

And, when you intentionally seek out bad movies looking for the so bad they're good (Plan 9 from Outer Space, MegaPiranha, Army of Darkness, etc) you end up seeing a lot of just really bad movies.

Worst so far this year (it's early, I've only watched something like 55 movies thus far) is a tie between The Fairy (which made absolutely no sense) and Chernobyl Diaries (being bored during a horror movie is just wrong).  About half of them have been ones I wouldn't recommend.  There are a few that I would off the top of my head:

The Innkeepers (very low-key "horror" movie)
Secretariat (yes, I only now got around to seeing it)
Wild Target (Rupert Grint!  Assasins!  Comedy!)

....erm, there are a few others I remember the stories to but not the names.  Two were in French, I think.

I'm also still looking for a movie that starts with Z that I haven't seen to complete the alphabet for the year.  Last year I used Zus & Zo, the year before that was Zack and Miri.  Any others out there anyone knows about?

You ever seen Zebrahead?  That is one to watch that is a Z.

I am all about obscure movies.  The movie channels get left on all the time here and I end up watching movies without knowing what they are and falling in love with them.  Like my number one favorite movie right now, Rubber!  OMG that is the best movie ever.  Yeah, I gotta fill out this questionnaire so I can add at least one more Rubber viewer to my list.  I have introduced everyone I know to this movie and well, you either love it or you hate it LOL.  I find it strangely intriguing Smiley  Ok, off to do the questionnaire now.

Don't get me wrong, I love obscure movies and bad horror movies are one of my favorite things to watch. But for some reason they just aren't my favorites.

Smeddly- it's a few years old but have you seen Zathura for your z movie? it' based on a kids book by the author of jumanji.

i'm still deciding on this one. the long crafting time does make it easier. i'm doing a garage sale with freinds mid april so i wasn't going to sign up for a swap until after that.....

if my family is voting for the movie it is definetly a star wars or harry potter, but if i get to vote by myself then twilight, pride and prejiduce, the lake house, ......i'm waiting for my daughters to grow up a little more and watch movies with me.
