Oh calixita are you in Boston?  It has been awful there! And I've only seen in the news, I couldn't imagine being there!!  Hope you're doing OK!

I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

I am in Boston.  It's been a rough few days.  First the initial hours trying to contact everyone I knew who was running volunteering or spectating at the Marathon, then relief (everyone I knew personally was unhurt, thank goodness), sadness, anger....  One of the fatalities was a grad student at BU where I work so we've had lots of nice memorials and occasionally annoying news crews around.  One of the nice things tho' is to see the community come together.  Time will, of course, heal.  I just hope to see less of a rush to judgement, racism and hatred - qualities that my beloved city of Boston also has.

Calixta, I am very sorry for what you and your close ones are going through right now. One of the doctors I work for, his daughter goes to BU and was supposed to be there to watch her friends mom pass the finish line. Fortunately it didn't work out for her to be there. Prayers and love go to all of you.

On another note... I got my wonderful gifts tonight. It's too dark to post pictures but I love them all! I have to do a few repairs but that will be simple and the turtle t-shirt I got was mine but only for a few minutes before it was claimed by my granddaughter for her nightie. The shoes and candles are very cool and the little turtle with what looks like real seashells in it's back in very cool too! Thank you so much Robin, I love it all! Oh yeah and I can't wait to try out the soap! Alijah loves the real crab shell! I will post pictures hopefully this weekend when the lighting is better.

Pixie

I think I came up with an idea for my last item, but I'm not sure of the best way to execute it. There's a way I'd like to try, but if I mess it up, it would be a real challenge to recover from that mistake. But, it would be the coolest way...

I sent yesterday! Hope my partner receives soon. German post seems to be literally snail mailing at the moment  Undecided

I'll be on the look out!  Smiley

It's been a pretty hellish couple of days for those of us in Boston.  Today I put in some time crafting to give my hands something to do and channel some energy into something positive.  Staying busy and time will heal.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your community, calixita!

In swap news I am still crafting away!

Thanks for the kind thoughts, guys.  The Boston "lockdown" was at least good for getting crafting done.  Its good to breathe easier now.   Smiley
