This sounds fun but I am not much of a yarnie.  Do you think I could still participate even if I don't have a pattern that I want/need?

Hmmmm.....I think you can, of course.  Maybe someone can get creative with yours since you wouldn't really be using the yarn in the end.  Just keep in mind that you may end up with lots of yarn!!

There are non-knit and crochet yarn projects out there too... maybe whoever gets your name could come up with other uses or ideas for the yarn instead of a pattern?

Tempting........ver y tempting.......I loved the other myb swaps I was in and one year I recieved one in a christmas swap on this website.  They are so fun!  I can think of a handful of patterns I would love too.  Im gonna have to think on this.  But no one pressure me to join-Im still thinking and I could be easly persuaded into joining.

Who would pressure you missmoppet?  That would not be very nice!  But imagine the yummy yarn you could get, a fun pattern to play with and you get to get surprises WHILE working with the yarn.  Ya, I won't pressure you.

I would say even if you are not a yarnie go for it! There are always rapunzel scarves, mini looms, yarn wreaths (!!! these are so fun to make!) wrapped yarn-art, embroidery using yarn as a medium, other yarn art...or make some of these (I plan to and I am a raging yarnie)....or maybe you are a yarnie in the making! We could convert you;)
