Each block of color was knit from a different skein, and strands were twisted together on each row (pseudo-intarsia?). I randomised the colour order as best as I could. I applied fray-check to each of the 200+ knots (1/2 a bottle!). I refuse to weave in that many ends. And the fleece backing was hand-sewn on.  A sewing machine may have worked, but I either lack the proper foot or its too finicky of a task.

For those who are not familiar with the reference, its a creeper from minecraft (video game).

One of my most time consuming projects, but the results are awesome. Final length is approximately 60". Pampas heather (the brownish green) wasnt the best color selection, but its difficult to tell when buying yarn online.  I haven't posted on this forum for few years, but wanted to show this project off.  Wink  I could write up a more detailed tutorial if people are interested.  Not a complicated project, but very time consuming.  Finishing steps (securing the knots, sewing on the backing) took as much time as the actual knitting.
