After many many hours of frustration, my first Poppet has finally came to life! She has her flaws, but it gives her personality, and I had so much fun making her. She is entirely hand-stitched, and made from a knit fabric. Couldn't find suede anywhere! Please tell me what you think! =)

I started with the body, because I was a little nervous to make the head or put the cover buttons into the arms/legs.

Next, I did the arms and legs, tail, and then the head.

Added the eyes.

And just for anyone interested, the eyelashes on the left (on this poppet) came from Walmart for over $2. The ones on the right from eBay, 10 pairs for $1.83! I will be ordering there from now on.

Jointed/sewed everything on. Not done perfectly, but acceptable for a first-timer, I suppose.

I made the hair using a DVD case. Wrapped it around several times, tied a knot in the center, then cut the end.

Sewed on the wig.

Made a dress. Not my best work, had a lot of trouble with it actually. 0.o But... Poppet, complete =D

Still haven't named her. Nothing has clicked just right yet, but it will come. Comments are appreciated. Good or bad. Hope you love her as much as I do!

You hand sewed that entire thing?!?! God, I feel bad now, I cant hand sew a thing hahaha! Then again, with a 2yr old lil girl getting into everything, handsewing is a bit to time consuming for me! Love the way she looks, cant wait to hear what you decide to name her =D Maybe I'll post mine up later I'm starting to get curious as to what people will think of em=^.^= everyone's I've looked at are just soooo cute!

hito no ji wa hitori ja tatenai...=)

She turned out so great, it's hard to believe she's your first! Cheesy

All we have to decide is what to craft with the time that is given to us.
