I was on another craft swap community board and I saw a post that mentioned a swap where you would send someone something of your best work.  For example, I'm really good at spinning yarn, so I would send a handspun skein.  Or if someone was good at scrapbooking they could send a completed page, etc.  Is anyone interested in something like that?  I think it would be exciting because you wouldn't really know what you were going to get.

That sounds fun!  I'm also best at sewing.  Maybe making cards, though.  I do clothes, bags, greeting cards.. That would be fun.  It's always nice to be able to send something you're confident in.

I'm really glad this is generating some interest!  I'd say I'm best at spinning yarn and knitting.  I think if this swap happens we would probably do it by point system (maybe 5 points?) or just make one large.

I think one large would be good.  I just mentioned making stuffed animals is what I'm best at.  I could be paired w/somebody who wanted a stuffed animal, and then my parnter could maybe knit or crochet a stuffed animal for me?  I know I would be over the moon to receive a large knitted or crocheted lemur.  I even found a free pattern for one!  I always see these adorable knitted and/or crocheted stuffed animals that I drool over, but, I cannot knit or crochet to save my life.  Sad

I would join this swap in a hot minute!   Grin  I love to crochet and would be fine with one large, or a large, medium, small....whatever everyone agrees to.  I hope someone opens up this swap soon.  I think it would be very popular.

I would love to have anything that is sewn.  I can't do it, so I admire it greatly!

I'd be up for that!  I'd love me some hand-made lingerie!  Lol.

I think one large would be good.  If you want to get someone's best work, it's going to be time consuming, etc.  But a large plus might be fun, too, just to have little extras thrown in on top.

This would be great fun.

Do we have an organizer yet? If not, I can do it. I finished two courses this past week and I'm almost done with some my observations. I have the time to devote to this endeavor.

What dates are we looking at?

We are looking at a 5 point swap, one item must be a large. The rest can be a combination of smalls and mediums as you see fit.

Any suggestions on the questions or should I go fairly basic?

This sounds great! I also like the idea of making one large item, I'm often put off bigger swaps but I think concentrating on making one really nice thing would be good.

I'm a knitter by the way!
