Strange notebook to inspiration-collector

This craftster challenge is the first to get me to participate. I have been thinking about having a book to collect my crafting ideas in. When I read the challenge, I immediately searched my bookshelves, but nothing was really perfect. Then I remembered a book I had somehow come across a few years ago. I don't know what it was for originally and where I found it, but I kept it because it was made so nicely with a really hard cover and nice binding. And a nice colour. I love blue. The inside left me at a loss though and I put it into a dark corner, where it still was, fortunately. And there even were a few old drawings inside that I had completely forgotten about.

I painted 11 black quarters (2x2 cm) on the front and filled them with silver edding (which made a big silver blob at some point totally without warning. Fortunately, it was on the black space and I just painted it black again. Argh!!!)
I got the letters from a book with images by William Morris but didn't make a stencil. You can see how all the "I" are different.

I love this!  What a great response to the challenge to do a craft project that will help you in future craft projects.  If I could figure out how to vote, I'd vote for this one!

Thanks everyone! I use it almost every day, and the pages are filling up. Only problem is, i am surfing the net more than looking through magazines. Can't very well cut out things from my laptop, now, can I? And I don't want to print everything I like, so I started to draw again. That makes me happy, because I almost forgot it was a lot of fun to do!

Yippieh, BirdBones! Finally I know what the purpose of it was! Even though I'm german, I couldn't figure it out. Should have googled :-)
