Meet Lemon!
Isn't he just the cutest lemon snake cake?

He was inspired by a cake I saw on 9gag over a year ago. (It isn't up anymore)
My friend has/loves snakes, and this was just the cake for her 21st birthday.
The original was a little too realistic (for some of my other snake-phobia friends), so I made him pleasantly plump with big black eyes.

The cake was extra yummy with 1/3cup fresh grated lemon zest (6 lemons) added to the mix.
His head was a giant cake ball made from scraps after sculpting his body.

Here he is with the lucky birthday girl.

Thanks for looking!

<3

***PS: I am happy to report, he was a big success at the party!!!

I was going to add some shading, but I think it was a good choice to stay simple yellow.

I actually thought about that after the cake was eaten. I'll have to make one next time Wink

This really stopped me in my tracks!!! Wow! Great work. I probably wouldn't be able to eat it though. I'd be too busy trying to lift my mouth from around the floor area. Fantastic work. Very impressive. I too hope you make a tute next time. Just too impressive.

Wow - not only is it an awesome looking cake - but lemon cake!  what is not to love  about it!  DH, who is phobic of snakes, took one look at it and was utterly disgusted.  Which is a good thing because it just shows how fantastic you made it look!

I have seen that lemon blast or whatever its a Morph of a Ball Python, nice rendition of the original cake!  Which I can attest was quite realistic.
