Hey fellow students I was noseing around on youtube and eventually I ended up watching some Avpm and some scenes from deathly hallows part 2. In the course of doing that I found a fan made video that you might like Smiley

pinkleo, lookit your mermaid! I must have a thing for bookmarks (thanks again, jennie) and this one is so gorgeous. Great job on all of your squares, too. I am waiting for Ant Bee to show up with a caning stick to whack me...but I swear I have a few more squares!!! Gotta take those pics. Battle of Hogwarts?! Yeah!

Abbee, they are rocking the progress, yeah? You'll be able to peek in on your neighbours, not that that isn't creepy or anything.

jennie, thank you for the WIP detention. Oh, I need this.

Oh, you heard about that? Yeah, I used to leap out of random shrubbery and bat folks about the head with a SPEW Pillow of Punishment (Or "SPEW POP" if you're in the biz), but too many people found it ... shall we say... invigorating?  Wink So, yeah, I stopped that.

Abbee, you're (temporarily) the owner of a Baba Yaga house! All it needs is the chicken feet. (I don't recomend them tho, they're a devil to get zoning approval for.) Smiley

I also thought Baba Yaga. Cheesy
I have a story book somewhere with Baba Yaga in it.

No pic, but I've got a little more done on my embroidery. My fingers are hurting due to a sudden cold snap here in Louisiana. The high for today (Friday) is 58F, which is VERY cold for Louisiana in May.

I'm not sure if people have noticed or not yet... but every other month is a Work In Progress prompt.  Wink  It seems like we all have at least 1 sitting around....  or 10.  But you know, at least 1.  Then of course, when you finish off that 1, somehow you find that there's another 1 that just popped up.  Cheesy  Or you choose 1 that you plan to finish for the craftalong, but another pops up that you somehow NEED to finish sooner.

And I totally thought about Baba Yaga too!!!

So excited for the battle of hogwarts challenge! Awesome.

I'm ashamed to say I had to google Baba Yaga and her house. After some research, I'm thinking I'll need some sort of shrine or wall art depicting her house once all is said and done. This has definitely been a major trial on my spiritual path! Though I haven't overcome it just yet.

And I actually have some progress to report on this Advanced Studies Friday!! Yay!!

I returned to the quilt (new deadline is hubby's 30th birthday June 26), and picked up the last of the interfacing:

And dyed a sheet for either the border or the back. I'm leaning toward back as I'm thinking plain black for the borders. Which puts me stalled once again until I can pick up a black sheet on the cheap!

::She mumbles, raises head from desk and yawns. A fabric square is firmly stuck to her cheek. As is falls back to the table like an autimn leaf her eyes widen in the realization that Advanced Studies Friday has caught her unprepared. Again. *Groan.*::

Still nothing on my NEWT, but I've made a ton of progress on my OWL!  I'm getting close to the armpits on the body.  The hood takes a long time though because the cabling is so complex.

The colour isn't accurate here: it's a jewel-toned blue-green heather in real life.
