I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Challenge: Accio Books!
House: Ravenclaw

I mentioned to my mom I was collecting books and she immediately boxed up 24 new children's books she had and mailed them off! The same day!  Cheesy She said she had more but wanted to wait for me to contribute to the collection. So, I'm posting her contribution, and will post mine when we have filled the box.

a little bit in advance for the advance studies Friday:

NEWT WIP:

I've sewn most of the top this morning. What made me stop was that I ran out of my good quality thread and tried with a poor one and it kept breaking and I lost my nerves!
But I'm pretty far along, I only need to finish the red side, sew the other one and then another set of off-white stripes all around.
I decided to go a tad lazy and sew my bathing with each stripes. We love the result so far!
I'm still debatting wether I make this for the baking : http://pinterest.com/pin/151574343680916883/ I just love it!

*******

Patty, once again YUM! Very nice try with the GF Tongue love the little hearts Smiley

and yay for books! Cheesy

To keep myself busy and to try to help Slytherin along, I have an OWL proposal for Muggle Studies.
BUT it's not fairytales. Could I do an OWL that isn't one listed? I can't remember.

Nevermind, it fits HoM.

OWL Subject & Option: HoM, Option 3-Craft something using a vintage pattern, material, or technique.
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Old School Rivalry embroidered messenger bag
Brief Description: Embroidery is a VERY old craft technique, the basic stitches having been dated to the Warring States period in China (around 5th century BC). I'll be using the satin stitch to create an image of two rival characters, Scorpion and Sub-Zero, from the Muggle videogame "Mortal Kombat". I am already a week into the project (I should have posted this up sooner!) and I've just scratched the surface so it should take at least three weeks to do just the embroidery work. The remaining time will be used to sew the messenger bag that the embroidery work is going to be attached to (it's going on the bag's flap).

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Apparition
Gryffindor Extra Credit Option: Apparition - Destination - Zelda!
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Double Links
Project Page Link (if available): n/a
Brief Description: I made these for mama24boyz in the Zelda swap. She has twin boys, so of course, twin Links were necessary. When placed side by side, they work together to encourage cooperation among siblings! They invoke the destination "d" of apparition by transporting the carrier to the mysterious and magical lands of the Zelda Universe, with a little imagination of course. Wink
Project Pictures:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Arithmancy
Gryffindor Extra Credit Option: Arithmancy - Social Number = 3
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Zelda Plushie
Project Page Link (if available): n/a
Brief Description: Also made for mama24boyz for the Zelda Swap. The body of this plushie is separate from her clothes and head piece. They don't look very special until you put them together and Zelda emerges! My social number in the arithmancy calculator came out 3, which is represented here by the triforce image on Zelda's dress.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Divination
Gryffindor Extra Credit Option: Divination
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Family Cross Stitch
Project Page Link (if available): n/a
Brief Description: This is my little family depicted in stitches. We perfectly represent the three face cards: King, Queen, and Jack (male, female, youth). This picture represents our present and our future, as we will continue to grow together as a family for years to come. It just needs the perfect frame.

@pottermouth: Yay for book donations!

@MamanTattoo: Good work on your quilt so far!

@Abbee: Your stuffies are adorable.  Cheesy

Ok, instead of lingering over Craftster with my morning cup of tea, I'm off to cut 7 more corsets out of coutil, for the Corset Workshop that I'm teaching tomorrow.  Then hopefully I'll be able to cut the fashion fabrics and maybe even the binding today.  Hopefully with the help of sometimes-Craftster Ex_Gratia, I might actually pull off this workshop I offered to teach!

Wish me luck friends!!!

~*Here's hoping you had a wondrous Advanced Studies Friday!  There is still time to cozy up with your OWL or NEWT and stir up some crafty magic! Grin*~

I am working on HPC projects (I'm so behind on classes).  I promised myself that I was going to take some time to craft this evening and tomorrow!!!  (I get so wrapped up in teaching & keep on top of craftalongs & the like that I don't make time to craft.)  ...Also planning to take time tonight to indulge in some cider sampling & Doctor Who. Cool
