Class/Challenge/House Pride: House Unity
House: Gryffindor!
Project Name: House Tie-Dyes
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=422944.0#axzz2RIaYo7Ti
Brief Description: I made some HP-house themed tie-dyes this past weekend. The colors came out a bit different than I had planned due to an unfortunate mix-up with the black, blue, and gray. Basically, I kept grabbing the blue! I just went with it. I'm probably going to add some freezer-paper stencil house mascots to the bottom right hand corner of each shirt and offer them up in Diagon Alley (if that's recurring this semester?).

Great. Now I have "Goin Back to Hogwarts" stuck in my head.  Roll Eyes

hello everyone,  I've been busy this last week, my mom is visiting so i'm trying to show her the best of the pacific north west.

I did however get a chance to finish up my OWL

~*COMPLETED OWL HEADER*~
OWL Subject & Option (if available): History of Magic Option 3
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Family tradition stockings
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques used, any fun tips, etc.) since I've always loved my family's christmas stocking, I decided to reuse the pattern my mom used 20+ years ago to carry on what I see as our family tradition for stockings.  As it turns out my mom just happened to be here as I was finishing them up so she helped talk me through the confusing parts of the pattern.  So here they are stocking for myself and husband, plus our dog and then some for a friend and her dog, so now the stockings can be carried on into another family.

Dobby's socks!  A WoW mention?? I'm so happy! Thanks!!

I love this group, it's so encouraging and inspirational.

Congratulations Pinkleo on your afghan acknowledgement, well deserved!

The shirts look so fun, Abbee, and I saw a Diagon Alley post at the front of the thread so I think it is still a thing. Smiley

Congrats on finishing your beautiful stockings, travelgirl- go Slytherin!

OK, back to making tiny pom-poms, my WoW mention is motivating me to get them done TONIGHT (even if it is starting to feel like Trouble with Tribbles over here)!

Happy Crafting!

I'm so sorry for your box, Patty! Sad it happens to me sometimes, too...The dirt pudding cups are really fun!

Congrats WoWs!!! Very well deserved. It's so great to come back and ear feedback on the stuff we make, everyone loves it Smiley Else why would we post??

I LOVE the new apron Tia! super great looking without being hoochy, like some new apron pattern out there... The colors are great. And I also love the scarf and the story behind it!

What a great Gryffindor shirt Abbee! the others are great too, but the red one is my favorite Cheesy

Travelgirl, you're great for doing all that xmas cross stitch in spring! You'd have to pay me right now to make a xmas project! ahah! It's funny you made a couple for gods too!

Challenge: XTRA- Astronomy- MOON
House: Gryffindor
Desc: My daughter asked me for a dress like my DemiLunes shop logo dress since I designed it, about year ago. I finally got around doing it! Smiley It's a little too long for my taste, though, so I might shorten it. She wanted the pigtail like the logo girl Smiley The Moon appliquée doubles as a pocket. Pockets are fun when you're 4!

Challenge: XTRA- Divination
House: Gryffindor
Desc: I had foreseen in my tea cup reading that I'd make a ladybug dress for my daughter and she'd be so happy she'd wear it to sleep. I was right, and she actually worn it for 3 days straight, putting it back on after baths.

..Now let's work on my OWL and NEWT! Cheesy

Class: HoM
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Dumblesnore's Portrait (He's asleep in his chair, if you can't tell)
Brief Description: jenleahlynn had mentioned having several copies of HP books (don't we all?) and it got me motivated to actually use another one for crafting an assignment. Another book had been butchered for the Magic Mosaic I did and this project claimed the life of The Half-Blood Prince hardback. Dumbledore is my favourite so creating his portrait was a no-brainer, but intricate cutting on book paper is tedious and difficult. What's more problematic is taking a picture of said cut-out! But that's probably my picture taking ability.  Tongue

Great work, Noodle-Bug!
THe paper cutting is amazing, Pottermouth- he looks great!
Maman, the dress is cute!

And I have something to pass in as well- relief!

Class/challenge: March detention with Sprout. (Ahem, Professor Sprout.)
House: Slytherin
Project: Tiny wee hats for favors
Description: My friend is having a "geeky" wedding reception and the favors are all wee tributes to the couple's fandoms.  I was in charge of knitting the tiny Jayne Cobb hats from Firefly. I've had them on the "to-so" list since January, but they were pushed back for birthday gifts and charity knitting.  The wedding isn't until the fall, but  wanted them done with a long lead time to give her peace of mind. I made 12, and there may be more to come if the squeals at seeing the mock-up are any indication. Little is cute and people love cute!

Now to work on April's assignment! Happy crafting!
