Class: Transfiguration
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Hopsalots
Brief Description:
I was practicing my transfiguration on a pair of shoes, trying to turn them into rabbits. It kind of worked..

I made these out of Cascade 220 held double on size 8mm needles. I put them through the wash 3 times to felt them down to the proper size and then sewed the ears on. They're a bit floppy but I think they're adorable!

I may invest in a tiny crockpot for simmering.

Be sure to check the Salvation Army/other thrift stores in your area.  I see the tiny ones *all the time* for like $2.  Smiley

Class: Arithmancy
House: Gryffindor!
Project Name: Steampunk Pendant & Earrings Set

Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: For my Arithmancy homework I decided to study how one piece of jewelry can complement another.  After creating an embossed and enameled Steampunk Pendant, I made a pair of earrings to make a matched set.  The pendant and earring  pieces are brass, stamped with the Steampunk Parts folder, and then painted with the cobalt patina.  I added an antiqued bronze gear, black hammered key, copper wing & stone star bead to the bottom of the pendant, and the same black hammered keys to the earrings.

Class: Flying
House: Gryffindor!
Project Name: Magic Carpet Bookmark

Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: While searching through Vintaj pieces to play with, I bumped into some wonderful Etruscan Relic pendants and was immediately inspired to transfigure one into a magic carpet.  A little wand work later, and I'm quite pleased by the result.  I used purple, gold and red, the colors I most associate with Persian carpets, and distressed the pendant with a reliefing block.  Then I suspended it from a beautiful golden yellow stone bead (I wish I knew what kind of stone this is!  It came to me in a Bead Soup Swap ages ago.) and in keeping with the carpet theme, I added a tassel made of chain to the end.

Beautiful throw, WhistleFish! Happy to "see" you and Melissaurus here, too!

AugustBell, I'm digging your yarn on the hand towel. What is it?

jennie, I want your Magic Carpet Bookmark. I'm rereading One Thousand and One Nights!

PenguinSoup, "Not by the hare on my footy-foot-foot." That's what I'd say if I owned these. Because you know everyone will try to steal them!

pinkleo, firstly, know that we are all thinking of you and wish we could be sitting there drinking some tea when you get the all clear.  Kiss And thank you for sharing your citrus adventure. Totally making the natural room scents. Thanks!

Class: SoAR
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Tattoo Flash Cake
Brief Description: Eldest's 18th birthday is fast approaching so I thought I'd honour the transition from teen to adult with an old school tattoo cake. I told birthday kid that this was the only tattoo allowed! So what does this have to do with SoAR? Cake. It brings comfort. You yell, "Glory, hallelujah!" when you're finished decorating the darn thing. There's a lot of joy when the kids think it's delicious.

I see time has  been flying on here and I missed a lot of awesome projects/good news.

Congratulations Pinkleo on your new titles.

Moonflame, yes I'm tube knitting the rug.

Quick owl update on the rug is growing every day and today I started on the last color for the rug.  I also rolled the finished
cord on an old paper towel roll.

Challenge: Betty Bott Lemon Bean.
Project name: Lemon Yellow Camera Bag
Brief description: I was feeling a bit sour as what to make for this challenge. It took me awhile but here it is my lemon inspired crochet camera bag, with two green leaves. I used the yellow and green yarn to create the strap for the bag.
