I was hoping to work on my OWL more today but I feel I just won't get the chance. (having an out of town visitor tomorrow and soooo much to do)

I have come down to one of 2 of the main characters that I have supplies to make on hand.

Apple Jack?
or
Fluttershy?

OWL Subject: Charms
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: House Unity Ghan
Free 12" Square Patterns Used: Lion's Mane, On the Huh, Nordic Star, & Winter Dream
Brief Description: For my Charms OWL, I studies both the Coloring Changing and Cheering Charms.  First, I whipped up four different squares.  Then, along with a bit of Geminio wandwork, I casted my Color Changing Charm.  Next, I seamed these squares together, working in a Cheering Charm with each stitch.  I did not know if this charm would be a success until delivery, but thankfully today this has is been answered as pattyO seems pleased with her ghan.

I googled both the ponies and knowing nothing other than looks I vote for applejack, I dig the cowboy hat.

I've spent the last two days working on some sewing projects that have been neglected for ohhh about a year now.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Care of Magical Creatures
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Bowtruckle hunting shorts
Project Page Link (if available):  Mccall pattern 6328
Brief Description: I've had this fabric and pattern for well over a year and finally decided that the would be the perfect pair of shorts to wear while hiking and looking for bowtruckles, the pattern will help me blend in so that I can study them closer. also they're super comfy and a just a smidge longer to help keep from getting scratched up

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Charms
House: Slytherin
Project Name: spring time happy shorts
Project Page Link (if available): Mccall pattern 3628
Brief Description: We've finally had some warming up and sunny skies which are rare around here  so these sunny shorts are just the thing to help encourage better weather while I still try to master meteolojinx. They're high waisted which is a new thing for me but really comfortable. I just wish they had pockets, and that I could learn how to tie a pretty bow

I say Fluttershy!! I just love her so much Smiley

Again, lovely blanket Pinkleo!

The bowtruckles short's fabric is a funny fabric for short, but I love them Smiley The yellow ones are cute. We're far from wearing shirt here, I'm longing for the weather to warm up!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Oh my, Pinkleo, the House Unity Afghan rocks!!! I love all the different patterns you used! You are my hooking inspiration right now.

Pottermouth - that little bear is about the cutest thing I've ever seen. That is such a fun little novelty toy. I bet your kids love it!

He/She's very cute!! And it looks like a bear. I always imagined Ursa Major and Minor to be polar bears, probably because of the star Polaris.

Here goes my last class work:

Class: Flying /Quidditch: Beater /XTRA: History of Magic
House: Gryffindor
Desc: I found this lovely yarn that was to donate in a local family center. Little research taught me it's drops fabel, so it's actually a nice 70% wool yarn Smiley The orange peeking throught the blue and grey reminded me of a rag rug my aunt had bellow her kitchen sink! There was just one skein so I decided to knit legwarmers for my son with it. I'm puting HoM as an extra for this one, as I finished knitting them in the morning, where I try really hard to wake up and stay awake! I have this energy low right after we eat our breakfast, the low presure is not helping, so counting rows is keeping me awake. I know it could be tiresome for some, but I was almost finished so I kept on keeping on Smiley

It's really cute on him, but he didn't let me take a nice picture before he took them off! He's not used to that kind of clothing, I guess. He also put them on as armwarmers, and found himself very funny.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Bertie Botts - Lemon
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Thermal Cooker Cake
Project Page Link (if available): -
Brief Description: Been into Emergency preparedness a lot lately.  So got a new toy.  It's a thermal cooker from Saratoga Jacks.  It's basically a non-electric crockpot.  I've tried dinner in it, but they said you could cook cakes and breads in it even.  Had to try it out.  Here's my lemon cake that I cooked by boiling water and then putting the cake pot in, then topping with the lid and left it alone for six hours.  It worked!  There's some things I could do differently next time, but it was a delicious cake!  Even used some of my lemon essential oil in the glaze.  Yum!  And cool project!
Project Picture:
The cooker, cake pot, and cake!

Cooked off of boiling water and time alone!
