Thanks Jenn Smiley

Challenge: Gryffindor Quidditch: Keeper/ XTRA: CoMC (more then 10x10")
house : Gryffindor!!!
Desc: I made myself (-yes, for me!) a rectangle circle skirt. I'm lazy when it comes to sew for myself, so simply it's a rectangle that I folded in 4 and cut a circle where the fold is to make place for myself. I added a jersey knit tube, simpler then folding to add an elastic and more pregnancy friendly.

(yes, couldn't keep my feet out of the frame or the belly overtook the pic... )
Soon as I was finished my daughter BEGGED for one too, so I took a 15 min and made her a mini-one.

She was so delighted; she went to bed with it!
My son also requested a dress. I must admit I was a tad sexist on this one and made him pants. Flowery pants, but still, not a dress!! I might find an XTRA that fits those pants and show you tomorrow Smiley

I promise it's my last post of tonight.

~*NEWT PROPOSAL*~
NEWT Subject: Arithmancy
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Mariann's Quilt
Brief Description: I will show my skills in mathemagic by carefully dividing my fabric into squarres to make a twin sized bed quilt.
I will use this bundle:

and this pattern:

I'll have to figure out my mesurements.
I've never made a quilt, except a tiny rag quilt for my son, so I expect it's going to take me a while to do it. I surely will have lots of questions to any quilt-maker here, too!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Congrats to pinkleo and noodle-bug! Awesome achievements, ladies!  Grin

AugustBell, I love you. My slippers are worn every day (I don't care that it is 500 degrees right now, I'm wearing them!) and Dumbledore has an honorary spot on the fridge. The beautiful trunk you made has been designated for wool roving and sits on my craft table. Thank you!

Maman, how I love that little Ron, especially in his wee Quidditch helmet. Beautiful skirt, too! Oh, and the candy doll dress closes with snaps because I got lazy.

Yes! We LOVE Ron!!! Thanks to you as well, Maman, for a truly AWESOME HP SWAP! So, so fun. Can't wait for more HP swapping.

And I also love your skirt and that quilt is going to be so sweet! Can't wait to see!

AugustBell - I love both sets of slippers, but I'm especially coveting the owls Wink

Since our Quidditch Captain herself earned the Keeper Badge first, I'm presenting this badge to Maman on her behalf! Because it's fun to be awarded things by others!! And because she deserves it!!

Keep up the great work, Maman! You are a blur of energy and activity!!  Grin

A note to Slytherin House:

Great work lately!

This is just a reminder that there are prompts from FreakieGeekie that will lead you to a position on the Quidditch team.

Good Luck!

Alright Slytherins its time that we show the other houses what we can do! What better way than to make our Quidditch team?
Please keep in mind that projects don't count for House points.

Seeker- Seekers have to be fast and keep a keen eye out for the Snitch as its very small and very fast. To tryout for the position of Seeker, craft something that is small and/or fast. (Examples: miniatures, cars, cheetahs...) I am Seeker doll storage stool

Keeper- Keepers have to be alert and ever on their guard to make sure the opposing team scores as few points as possible. To tryout for the position of Keeper, craft something that you can defend yourself with. NOTE: please make it a "play" version and not something to actually hurt someone with! (Examples: swords, bows/arrows, shields...)

Beaters- Beaters have to be on their toes to protect their team from assaults from the Bludgers. To tryout for the position of Beater, craft something that is used for protection. (Examples: bookcovers, jewelry boxes/bags, sewing machine covers...)

Chasers- Chasers have to work together in order to score as many points as they can before the Snitch is captured. To tryout for the position of Chaser, craft something that works better when there are multiples. (Examples: earrings, booties, socks...)

Thanks everyone! I'm done with my flying assigment too, will post sometimes today. I have to say: I'm a pregnant stay-at-home mom, and doing those little challenge keeps me somewhat sane as I can't walk around like I want too since my back hurts so much. My days consist of sitting where my kids are and craft something!
So for those who are hard on themselves for not doing all the challenges... You have a life outside the HPC, too! Smiley

I keep changing my mind about what design to use for the quilt! Seems like I can't commit.

While looking for pattern (again!) My daughter was pretty set on this one:

It looks quite simple so I *think* I'll give it a go!
