I'm sure everyone has seen the JD bottle-turned-soap-dispenser flying around the interwebz. I saw it and decided I wanted to make my boyfriend one for Christmas.

I stole requested an empty JD bottle from our local pub. It was fairly larger than the example soap dispenser on the internet!

Several bottles of soap later, with several pump lids... and none fit! I ended up with a crap load of soap at home. I the found a perfectly fitting silver pump from an empty soap dispenser (one you buy to fill with whatever you're using - from Tesco if any of you want to retry this). I painted this black (spray paint would have been best, I used nail polish as it was the only thing I had to hand, but worked fine), attached some plastic tubing (from a novelty straw/glasses set from a 1 shop).

Bob's you're uncle.



Unfortunately he at first thought it was just JD with a pump lid. Unfortunately for him, no. Fortunate for his liver though.

Oh how my student son would love this.  JD is his preferred tipple so I may just have to make him one for his student pighole.... erm I do of course mean house.
