This is my first post on this site so here we go huh?

Every year my college has a 'Birthday Ball' in honor of George Washington and this year I decided I was going to make my dress.
I have always loved the regency style gowns and I ended up using Simplicity Pattern 4055 and modifying it. Instead of just making dress A or dress B I made a dress using the top of dress A and the bottom of dress B. Then I tried (and failed) to add pockets and I used a zipper and hook and eye closer instead of buttons. On day two of my sewing process I lost the directions and ended up basically winging the whole thing. But it turned out great! Even if I did end up having to sew up my pocket holes.

Here is a video I made on the collab channel I run with my roommate that has my day to day progress of the dress: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRZ1rx4cgNY

That is lovely. Very Regency but it doesn't look dated so you can wear it to any special party

That's lovely! What's that fabric, it looks like some type of cotton with bunches of flowers? I think it really makes the dress pop, just adds so much texture.
