First to receive    I got an awesome Rockabilly sock monkey from titaniumhip
She found the perfect socks for a rockabilly monkey Tattoos, Polka Dots and Cherries

What a lovely start to the gallery!  My husband begrudgingly gave me some $ today for shipping (I had the $, but, had to buy some cooking oil for dinner the other night ).  So, I'll be shipping tomorrow.  The box is all taped up, addressed, and ready to go!

Not a one -- it looks like something with at least one tusk in formal wear.  But even from the teaser I can see that this critter and its outfit are another example of your wonderfully detailed and perfectly crafted creations, and I can't wait to see the whole thing!

i was secretly hoping she'd pick that theme. heh.


she also sent me a TON of extras, including a sock monkey game, a Downton Abbey bookmark, a hand crafted card, and a lovely knit cowl. THANKS, CALSTERS!!

You all can be SUPER JEALOUS now!!!!  I received a mermonkey from waterbaby.  Yes, you read that right, a MERMONKEY!!!!  She crocheted his tail, which is removable.  He has legs, so he can go on a walkabout on dry land.  She even made him some board shorts so that he won't be naked when he goes on a walkabout, therefore not incurring an indecent exposure charge   and burning the retnas of small children, and prudish women.  He wears a shell necklace, and is wrapped in sea weed.  She also sent a small wooden box w/shells on it, small shells inside the box, the bottom of the box has a padded bottom w/dolphins.  I also received an awesome mermaid necklace, a Day of the Dead senorita, a box of SpongeBob SquarePants for my big boys boo boo's, a bunch of old world navigation maps, a lovely card, and some fabric.  I got SPOILED!!!  I hope waterbaby loves her monkey as much as I LOVE mine!!!!  THANK YOU SO MUCH waterbaby!!!!  I'm in LOVE!!! Tries not to bump head, as she swoons w/sock mermonkey love!!!

Yay!!!  Waterbaby should be receiving her monkey today!!!  The tracking # says it's out for delivery, a day early!!!

Yes, my package arrived today, riding to the western range with a sock monkey cowboy, who brought along a couple of very cool folk art style pals – a floppy-jointed cow with a great face and painted details, and a horse with flowing mane and tail on wooden skewer legs:



Out on the range, our bovine friend tired of walking and decided to ride...though cowpokemonkey wonders just how well this is going to work....



In a post to the sign-up thread, gotgrey said she had “cheated” on the clothes.  Ta-da -- she used little kid clothes, taking in a seam at each side of the pants waist and cutting a hole for the tail, giving him a little checked shirt, and shortening hems!

gotgrey also sent along a sheet of Paul Frank’s sock monkey design temporary tattoos.  Thanks for everything, gg!

I'm so glad you like him waterbaby!  I did make his hat, boots, the cow, and the horse.  And, of course, the sock monkey.    I cannot make clothes, I totally suck at it.    You had a lot of great themes, I just happened to have the clothes for this one.

These monkeys are really good! I'm new and haven't had a chance to do a swap yet, but I bet it's like Xmas when your package arrive I love the crocheted mermaids fin as an extra!

Here is a picture of my angel package from gotgrey!   THank you very much.     As you can see it is well beloved!   This little girl loves the doll pillow almost as much for her babies.  Gotgrey used my favorite colors and rainbows, as well as cool vintage buttons and fun ribbon hair.  It is so much fun!  Thank you for being our angel.

after much post related ughness (first package vanished & for a time we thought this second one had too) I can say yay my awesome package has arrived from RhymeswOrange, she went with my racing theme (I am a huge petrolhead & if it has an engine & 4 wheels I will watch it) he is based on a NASCAR team plus the actual monkey is pretty much spot on for the colours we had in our wedding (which was also motorsport themed lol)  she also sent me a sock penguin & some extras (which my 8 year old has claimed)

ok well since its been two months 
no idea if my partner received or not
as of yet i haven't, but our lovely organizer suggested i post what i sent

meet bat-monkey, i went with her superhero theme. all of his clothes are removable right down to the cowl and gloves. my boyfriend being a huge batman fan did not want me to send him away. somewhere in my archives i have the extra i sent along for the ride. a polymer clay cow, as that seemed to be a mega theme for my partner. anyways
i hope they both arrived safe and sound in australia...but we'll see
what do you all think?

RhymeswOrange - I'm happy you decided to tackle the race car theme...I know it was pinkmichk  #1 theme and you did an awesome job love all the details.

We just have one angel package for jennythor, then this round is over  it was a long one with all the missing international packages getting lost  I will try to partner up better next round so we don't have over seas swappers together, it takes to long and it's expense to send air mail.

So, I got word that Jennythor received her sock monkey swap angel package from me.  I combined a few of her themes together.  Steam punk, batman, and fantasy=Vladamir.  I think that's what I ended up calling him.  He looks goofy in my pic.  He looks so much better in person.  I think of the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz on steriods/drugs when I see him.    It was kind of hard to let him go.  I really came to like him, and eventually, fell in love with him.  Oh, his spots glow in the dark.
