I made this doll in preparation for the Junker Jane style doll swap, but I couldn't send her away. I get far too attached to things that are my "firsts." Of course then I tried to remake her for my partner, and her twin sister Victoire turned out horrendously!

Maxine is made entirely out of remaindered fabric and supplies I already had lying around. I had a victorian inspiration in mind, but sort of just went with it. I am super proud of her, and love the way she turned out!

Here she is sitting up against a pillow, being such a sassy lady...

...spread out in all her glory. (Yes, her arms and legs are just that long! What a betty-spaghetti she is!)

And a close up of her face, because that's my favourite part!

I hope you like her! C&C always appreciated! Smiley

She is really wonderful! I can see why you couldn't part with her.  The face is fantastic, the eye of course with the lid and lashes and the bit of zipper, but I think her mouth gives her so much expression, and the beauty-mark button is a great touch!

I love how you did her face--the eyes are especially detailed and nice!

Love the beauty mark as well   Cheesy

I think you might have found your own niche...you seem to do well with the Victorian theme!

So wonderful! I picture her having a husky British accent, asking for a martini. Cheesy

Oh, I can't see anything I don't like about her!!
She is gracious, haughty (translated that, hope I did it right) and classy looking.
Love, love her eyelid and super long lashses! Her face with the lace and her lips... AWESOME! Shocked

hahahaha I can't, but this comment made me crack up. What a great description. Tongue I always imagined her as a Miss Havisham type character. old spinster or something.

Thanks, wendiek!! And haughty is the PERFECT translation, fyi! Sort of up-tight, crotchety, and acts like she is too good for you. Thank you for all the nice words!
