Hi everyone,

I've been away for awhile but now I'm back, so I'd better make a few thousand coffees and look through how everyone else has been going! I've re-planned my clutches and made progress on two of them today, so I hope to have a photo to post soon.

My partner in a craft swap just received her item. I designed this purse from bits and pieces of 6 purses I liked something about online and a few of my own ideas.

next: the organizer pockets inside the outside pocket:

Evening Clutch completed!

You can't really tell from the photo but the paler fabric is gray felted wool with silver threads running through it. The rest is black velvet and I re-purposed a black satin belt to add a boarder. The beads are magnetic hematite, so they're a decorative feature but also how it closes.

What a unique closure JessKelly!  I never heard of magnetic hematite beads!

Eclectic Dreamer--love how you found pieces of SIX different bags to make this for your partner!  Love the elastic pocket.

Eclectic Dreamer - I love the way you did the pocket into two sections and all the idividual spaces. Neat idea.

JessKelly 0 the felted wool is really cool looking. Adds a lot of texture.

I made this quick little messenger bag for the book swap. It's a simple little pattern that I thought came out cute and fit the book great. I wanted something simple so I could stencil on the image of eyes to the front of it.

and inside....

It is based on the book Graceling if anyone has read that. Great book. I usually don't like medieval type books but that one was fantastic.
I am currently working on two more purses but time is elusive and not being my friend.  Cry Hopefully I can work on them and get them done this weekend. After that I am starting a completely new pattern for a Christmas gift. Just got some awesome fabric in this week! I can't wait!

I love medieval type books!  I will check that out!

What a fun bag, no matter if you read the book or not...it is really nice made!

alwaysinmyroom: thanks, I collected the beads from a couple of bracelets; needed to put them to another use after having cutlery stick to my wrists at the dinner table!

gozer: thanks! I recognised your messenger bag from browsing the book swap gallery. Very nicely made!

Lovely evening clutch, JessKelly..

Amazing postman bag, gozer!

I made a bag, but the lightning isn't great so the colours are not right. Will upload a picture later.

I also made a pouch with this tutorial made by Leslieshappyheart:

I thought it is cute! And I just love cute  Grin
