Gozer - You did a FAB job on that Tim Burton bag!!

I recently finished some granny squares that I started working on last year. I want to crochet them together and turn it into some kind of a purse. I have some buckles and a suede belt that I'm thinking of using for handles. Will have to see.

I finally got round to finishing my granny square bag that I posted about on 20 March 2013......

I also lined the inside...

So glad I finally finished a project!

I love that! I love the colors you used. I don't crochet and I had no idea you were going to turn them side ways. Not sure if that is how it is normally done but I love it! Fanastic job.
You're inspiring me to finish up mine. Maybe next week. This week is so busy....and the next one come to think of it!

I found this cool fabric at IKEA and wanted to make "trip bags" for the boys

Just a simple morsebag

That each boy made awesome and personal with some fabric markers!

And a Beach Bag for me

I just commented on the bags for the boys in another thread...they are just adorable and clever...your boys did a great job coloring them (they follow in mama's crafty footsteps!)...

also, lovely bag for yourself...I adore the fabric!

I love that they got to color and personalize their own bags... and now they can carry their own stuff too!  Wink

I made a morsbag for a swap:

and I designed and created a Gathering bag. The metal pieces holding the strap and making it adjustable were purchased, as were the brown ribbon for the straps. Otherwise: It's 100% recycled. The denim is from a pair of jeans from a 2nd hand store. The lining and back of the handles are from an old flannel sheet I've been using up for over 10 years. It's finally gone. The short handle, if looped over the carry strap, holds the bag closed. Or open you can use it for gathering.

Love your gathering bag...is it worn over the shoulder or on the hips?  I would love one to wear like an apron to gather fall acorns, mushrooms, plants, etc. Nice job on both bags!

alwaysinmyroom: It can be shortened to go over the shoulder, or (as intended) worn long to go cross-body (shoulder to opposite hip). I'm betting it could work around the waist too, though not positive.
