Are you doing that bag hax? I have been curious on how hard it is! I would love to see someone make it and be able to ask questions before I attempted it!  Tongue  I think my sister would really like that one.

Here are two of my fabric choices, firstly the linen, I have one decent sized piece and a coordinating bit for possibly the handles or a pocket or two.

and this is the dandelions, it's coppery coloured irl and I have a far bigger piece of this than I do of the linen and I have 4 or 5 smaller pieces in different colours.

How did I miss this craftalong!!!?  Making purses is what got me started on Craftster...I was obsessed with making them, and then, I stopped!

I would like to start in again...let me go through my stash and my patterns...you guys, this is what I need to get back into making my own bags! Cheesy

ooo--and of course, kookaloo!!

No, I downloaded it but have  few other bags I want to work on first.. you should be able to find some reviews on the pattern online.

I think wendiek might be doing it... maybe? I just reread the posts and saw that she had the same bag pictured. I have heard a couple reviews on it. Some people thought it was relatively easy and one person was completely lost. Me, being a novice, will most likely get lost. LOL!

Kookaloo_Starr - I like the leafy fabric best. The first one specifically!

I just downloaded the pattern...it is similar to one I have made before--the weekender bag...it looks easier than that, so I will let you know! Cheesy

I am not wild about the floral fabrics so I am going to see if I can find something else to use...

I have a ton of very very easy patterns...my first purse was a pattern I found on Craftster!!

Yes, you are rigth, it is the same bag! The book marks it advanced, will keep you posted.
I find the instructions in the book pretty clear, so I am pretty confident I can pull it of!

Kookaloo_Starr - I like your leaf fabric the most too. I think the first matches well with the black fabric, maybe you can use them both?

Oh yes, AIMR come and join us! You are fun to have around.... And you are always welcome sending ME your bags  Grin

Kookaloo - Hmmm, I like the dandelion one best, but would the other be easier to work with?  I think the shiny fabric would be a bit fancier, though.  Cheesy  I'm so helpful.

always! - WOO!  Glad you are joining us!  And yep - any type of purse.  Or bag.  Cheesy

JS - welcome!  No deadlines, just some awesome people from whom to ask advice, give advice, babble about patterns and bag making!
